What's Your Favorite Alpha Male?

The Alpha Male Blog Hop Begins Today...

What is your favorite thing about Alpha Heroes? Well, we authors are ready to share our favorite Alpha Males, our favorite things about them, and everything sexy and heated about those Alpha Males you can think of. Starting today and ending on Oct 22nd, over 200 Authors and Bloggers will share their favorite things about those sexy men we know and love.

And while we do that, we are EACH doing a giveaway. There will be over 200 giveaways on each blog hosted by that Author or Blogger.

There's just something about the alpha male, isn't there? Every since Rhett Butler carried Scarlett O'Hara up those stairs and had his way with her, I've been hooked on the alpha male. There's a chemisty that the alpha male brings to the table that no other hero can match. When you couple that with one strong heroine, well, frankly Scarlett, the romance crackles.

Through the years, the alpha male was evolved somewhat. He's smarter, more sophisticated, definately more sexy, a tad more considerate of others, and yet he can't fight his animal instincts. He's all male.

So what's my favorite genre of alpha's. There are so many to choose from, but I'll have to say without a doubt, my favorite alph is a spy because he has it all. A element of mystery surrounds him. He's licensed to kill and has the ability to face danger and the bad guy in the eye and live to tell about it.

In my latest release, Every Single Beat - When The Cost Of Failure is Freedom series, you get to meet one incredicably sexy spy, CIA agent Booth Raines, and hopefully you'll love him as much as I do.

So, what do you love about the alpha male? Who's your favoirte all-time alpha? Well, here's your chance to let the world know and enter to win some great prizes.

I'll be giving away an PDF ebook copy of Every Single Beat to one lucky commenter. I'll announce the winner at the end of the blog hop right here.

Here's the blurb: When Carrie Sierra woke up from a two-week coma with a new
heart, it wasn't her past that she remembered. It was the last few minutes of
CIA agent Kate Willows. Carrie could remember almost everything about Kate's
final moments with the exception of the face of the man responsible for her
murder. The only face haunting her memory from that night was the man Kate loved
with all her heart. Her handler and lover, Agent Davis Raines.

A Norman Rockwell Mood

I'm in a Norman Rockwell mood today. Okay, I realize that sounds silly, but yesterday, I started thinking about the upcoming holidays and Christmas and how much things have changed since Norman's time and I found myself wishing there were still such places in the world as what can be found in Rockwell's beautiful small town paintings.

Oh, don't get my wrong, I love our technological world, but wouldn't it be nice sometimes just to go back in time and live in a world where no one locked their doors at night. Everyone was respectful to each other and it wasn't so much about what you got for Christmas as it was the time you got to spend with family.

Just for a little while today, come back with me to a time when life was simple. Let's go for a cup of coffee at Aunt Mabel's and don't worry, you don't have to lock your door because this is Norman Rockwell's world.

So, what do you think? Would you like to go back there? Is there any small towns left in America that resemble Norman Rockwell towns? If you know of one, let me know.

All the best...

It's finally starting to feel like fall here.

This is my favorite time of the year. Fall is in the air. Trees are turning gold and orange and it's finally getting cool enough to start creating those delicious fall recipes once more.

I've been thinking, I know I love to cook and I'm sure there are many of you who love it as well. So what better way to combine cooking with books than to give away a free ebook to one person with the best recipe.

Send me your recipes. What do you like to cook that represents Fall to you. Send them to my email, maryjeason@netzero.com and I'll select a winner, post it here and then the winner will be a surprise, a free ebook of one of my latest releases.

I can't wait to see your recipes.

Here's one of my favorite fall recipes.

Pumpkin Gingerbread Trifle

Ingredients

  • 2 (14-ounce) packages gingerbread mix
  • 1 (5.1-ounce) box cook-and-serve vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 (30-ounce) can pumpkin pie filling
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 teaspoon ground cardamom or cinnamon
  • 1 (12-ounce) container frozen whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup gingersnaps, optional

Directions

Bake the gingerbread according to the package directions; cool completely. Meanwhile, prepare the pudding and set aside to cool. Stir the pumpkin pie filling, sugar, and cardamom into the pudding. Crumble 1 batch of gingerbread into the bottom of a large, pretty bowl. Pour 1/2 of the pudding mixture over the gingerbread, then add a layer of whipped topping. Repeat with the remaining gingerbread, pudding, and whipped topping. Sprinkle of the top with crushed gingersnaps, if desired. Refrigerate overnight. Trifle can be layered in a punch bowl.
