There's just something about the alpha male, isn't there? Every since Rhett Butler carried Scarlett O'Hara up those stairs and had his way with her, I've been hooked on the alpha male. There's a chemisty that the alpha male brings to the table that no other hero can match. When you couple that with one strong heroine, well, frankly Scarlett, the romance crackles.
Through the years, the alpha male was evolved somewhat. He's smarter, more sophisticated, definately more sexy, a tad more considerate of others, and yet he can't fight his animal instincts. He's all male.
So what's my favorite genre of alpha's. There are so many to choose from, but I'll have to say without a doubt, my favorite alph is a spy because he has it all. A element of mystery surrounds him. He's licensed to kill and has the ability to face danger and the bad guy in the eye and live to tell about it.
