Ms. Mary Eason presented this poignant story about a couple who still loved each other. They hadn't seen or talked to each other in a year. Both had pretty-much started pulling themselves up from the bottom. Eason has shown a depth of characters which enables her readers to get involved with the entire plot and become part of the book. There were myriad of supporting cast which enhanced the initial couple. No one, however, could push them into admitting to their secrets which ultimately kept them apart.
Eason did a good job of dealing with alcoholism and the affects it has on entire families. The problems associated with misconceptions, as well as secrets, continued to grip this reader. There was an underlying need of commitment to the faith they had previously known. It was handled very well and did a great job of working through their situations.
I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in a heart-rending plot with a happily-ever-after that was unexpected. This book will stay with me long after I've completed it. I shall look forward to more by this author.
